We love Abels. You should too.
We're excited to play for the folks at this great event in Auburn! It started in 2011 when Mike and Jen Parker watched Hospice of the Finger Lakes at work caring for their dying grandparents. It was that experience that spawned the idea to create a Wiffle Ball tournament/ backyard party on their five-acre parcel on Bluefield Road in Aurelius to support Hospice. The Parkers always loved the beauty of Boston's Fenway Park and decided to build a miniature replica of the stadium for their tournament, complete with the green monster in left field. The Annual Bluefield Classic Wiffle Ball Tournament raises money to support Hospice of the Finger Lakes. Please come out and show your support!
This year is gonna be off the hook! Doing it right on Paul's porch in the heart of Binghamton Porchfest 2019! Johnson Ave will be closed but there will be trolley service from Rec Park and surrounding streets. Don't miss this amazing community event!
Moondog's Lounge is Auburn's premier live music venue! Live music is featured Wednesday through Saturday. Enjoy some drinks and food while you listen to some of the best live music in Central New York!
We're excited to be making an appearance for the second year in a row! We love this little gem. Join us for an afternoon of Bluegrass music with local wineries and breweries providing tastings. All proceeds benefit the Forest Lake Volunteer Fire Company!
Simmerin' Stew is honored to be a part of the 31st annual AFBA Festival and we look forward to sharing the Backwoods Stage with so many talented acts. So, get down to Wind Gap, PA on Saturday August 3rd and wiggle with us!! The Appalachian Fiddle and Bluegrass Association (also known as AFBA) was formed in October, 1973, in Northampton County, Pa., for the purpose of preserving and promoting a unique form of American country folk music called “bluegrass”, made popular after WW II, pioneered by Kentuckian Bill Monroe and his band, “Bill Monroe and His Blue Grass Boys”.

In 1964 before the Grateful Dead got together, Jerry Garcia caravans across the country from California to tag along with bluegrass legend Bill Monroe. Garcia who first picked up a banjo in 1950 when he was 8 years old, had become a master player, and after meeting Monroe in 1963 toyed with the idea of auditioning for Monroes band. Garcia saw a few shows (and in a wink and nod to the future, he taped them), but when it came time to move forward he had a few doubts and high tailed it back to San Francisco. Garcia never forgot his first love for Bluegrass. "He was challenged by the banjo, it was the hardest he'd ever work, and was the most focused he ever was." We can all be Grateful for it, because it made him who he was. The Seneca Road Pub proudly presents: The Gerry Jarcia String Band on December 1st, 2018 with a tribute to Old and In the Way and The Jerry Garcia Acoustic Band...2 of Jerry's favorite Acoustic/Bluegrass bands. The guys from the the Gerry Jarcia String Band are pumped to bring this show to Hornell, as we are to host them! If you like great music and cold beer mark down December 1st on your calendar as a show you won't want to miss. There will be a small cover charge for the band and as always 100% of the door goes directly to the band. Please share this with your friends! Thanks for your time and we hope to see you soon!

Ruben Dobbs’ aggressive finger-picking and rhythmic style (which often adds up to sounding like more than one guitar) combined with Joey Mitchell’s bass playing, pounding kick drum and percussive bass throttling (representing the presence of a full drum kit) easily fill up the sonic space normally created by a trio or even a four-piece. Dobbs’ soulful, passionate vocals are the glue that holds it all together and makes the band tick.
The Gerry Jarcia String Band joins Voodoo Highway, Andru Bemis, The Kitchen Sink Band, Ship of Phools, Chris Mollo, Slideways, and others TBA for the first ever Grateful For The Dead Festival in Owego, NY.
